How To Transform A Wall Space Into A Special Bedroom For Your Cat

If you’ve ever had cats, you know how much they enjoy having their own little private space. In fact, if you don’t provide one for them, that’s OK, they will just find it themselves. Well, one man named Bryan Davies and his family adopted a sweet shelter cat named Wyatt and he loves watching birds and squirrels from the window. Instead of making Wyatt wait for the squirrels and birds to show up, Bryan decided to get creative. In the winter, Wyatt’s friends visited less frequently, so Bryan decided he needed to supplement his cat’s entertainment options. He founds some bird videos online and showed them to his cat on his tablet.

Well, Wyatt fell in love with YouTube and now has his own private TV. However, Bryan wanted to give him something even more special: a room of his own. During a recent home remodel, Bryan noticed a little niche along the wall near his own bedroom that wasn’t being used. He thought it would be perfect for Wyatt, so he opened up the wall and started the process of remodeling the space for a little bedroom for Wyatt. A tiny room inside of the house, if you will. When the room was finished, Bryan decorated it just like a cozy little cat bedroom. It’s complete with a rug, even.

Best of all, it has a bed that Wyatt can curl up on while he watches his birds on his TV. Bryan got super creative and hung photos of “cat relatives” on the walls, put a little chair in there, some toys and books, and even pillows on the bed.

There’s even one of those framed fishes on the wall, the ones that make noise (in real life). The final touch was, of course, the TV on the wall where Wyatt could watch his favorite YouTube videos.

Bryan wasn’t sure if Wyatt would actually use the little room, but as it turns out, it’s now his go-to spot. Bryan said he spends all his time in there watching his favorite show before he takes a nap.

We love this idea!
