When we talk about our family, it is likely that we have quite a few people in mind. Some of them may be related to us directly but other members of our family may find themselves in that role after some time has passed. They typically include friends who have been with us so long and have stuck with us through thick and thin that they are like family to us.
Another family member that is added at a later time for many of us is our pets. They are absolutely wonderful and it doesn’t matter if it is a dog, cat or even a rabbit, we treat them as if they are a member of our family from the moment that they come into our home. As time passes, the bond just get stronger and we often find that they are more of a steady part of our family than many of our actual relatives.
If you have a cat that has worked their way into your home and your heart, there is something you can do to help them know you appreciate them. We care for the needs of the cat and we do so in the best way we know how. For some of us, this care is feeding them but it also helps to provide them with a space of their own. That is what this unique DIY project is designed to do. Once you put one of these together for your cat, they will love hanging out in it.
Not only is the DIY cat box a great idea for your feline, it is a nice way to put some old clothing to good use. Rather than throwing it in the trash because it has a small hole, make it into a new box for your feline friend.
Materials Needed
medium sized cardboard box
large old t-shirt
Directions
Position your box so that the opening is on the side. You may want to fold the flaps in to prevent them from flopping around.
Stretch your T-shirt over the box, with the neck hole over the open side.
Tie the remaining fabric of the t-shirt together at the back, and push the sleeves inside the shirt.
